A man finds himself in this world neglected and lost. As it is said by the Russian philosopher Bibichin:’ The life comes down to a man all of a sadden. The man is lacking of himself in this world.”
The man reaches out for something past the boarders of the usual. The man gets used to live before he gets used to think. The man doesn’t remember where did he come from, the man doesn’t know where will he go. The man doesn’t understand where everything does come from, and where everything does turn into. The man asks questions, the whole existence long the man will have questions. The man wants to find the answer as to what he can know, what he can hope for, what he shall do, and what is he himself.
The man is a project, pointed to what is behind the limits. The man is existence which transcends itself into the unknown, forgotten, everlasting.
An artist is a specials type of a man who is build around this goal.
In the Plato’s dialogue “Fedr”, Socrates describes the condition of a man in a process of crating a piece of art:” When someone looks at the present beauty remembering at the same time the true beauty, he gets inspired, And being inspired he tries to soar, however, having not enough strength he looks up like a chick, ignoring what’s down there, and this is the reason of his condition of fury. This condition is the best one out of all kinds of obsessions just by its origin as well for the possessor of it as for those who it is shared with. The one who shares this condition of obsession, who loves the beauty is called the one in love. As it was said, every human soul by its nature was the contemplator of the existence, otherwise it wouldn’t get incarnated into this living being.”
The act of creativeness is the act of remembering and unification with The Other art of Being not the one we always see.
The German Philosopher N. Hartmann has described the Other Way of existence which the artist is united with in the act of creativeness as the Unconscious Absolute.
The Unconscious Absolute takes part in the world by its existence which consists of the struggle between the unreasonable will and conscious. The subject of the morality and justice is identified by the measure of its reaction to the existence of the Unconscious. This measure is given in the unity of pleasure and suffering which exists in each and every individuum as a result of justice and injustice, morality and immorality: because the pleasure and suffering are the true and real while the morality and justice are the ideas of the conscious.”
The lining of this world is the the other world. The existence as well as the non-existence are the forms of the Absolute. The man is afraid of non-existence and runs away from it, fences it off by rules, orders, regulations, prohibitions, without understanding that the source of his suffering and poverty lies in his disconnection from the unity. The man seeks the pleasure and becomes a slave of the rules, orders, habits, following of which must have brought him that pleasure. The pleasure of the p henomenal world is in minimizing the suffering. The desire of minimizing the suffering impowers it, because everything is the Unity/ Absolute. A true pleasure can be found in the drive of the act of creativeness. The source of creativeness is the acceptance of Existence as it is. The existence by itself is the existence of the world where the lining of it is the non-existence. My existence is the existence in the world, it is always “here” existence, and in my “here” existence there are always the others,” says M. Hidigger. “You are not this, you are that,” say the Vedas. “Everything is the Unity.” says Parmenides.
To be means to be free in the acceptance of your non-existence, to be ready to cross the limiting boarders and to be zealous to meet what is hiding under the surface. And after meeting with what is not you to become an echo of the Unity, a reflector of its will, the witness of its wholeness.
